INTRODUCING BLAZE’S BEANS 8 LITRE PAIL
REPLACEMENT PACKAGING
In an effort to help reduce our company’s carbon footprint and eco-waste with our food service product, Blaze’s Beans has developed a new more eco friendly “bag n box” format.
This box contains 2 food safe poly bags that, in total, contain the exact amount of our famous Blaze’s Beans that in the past have been packed in our plastic 8 litre pails.
Each new box equals the same mount of beans as 1-8 litre pail.
This new packaging follows 1 year of perfecting an alternative to our now 10-year-old 8-litre pail pack.
This new bag and box reduces landfill waste and close to a pound in plastic. It also weighs 20% less in final pack weight, reducing fuel use needed to ship this food service pack nationally and internationally.
To
use this new bag follow the instructions below:
1) To dispense this new bag …take a pair of scissors or a sharp knife and cut one top corner of the bag and pour the brine into an existing 8 litre pail, if you have saved any pails, or a container that can hold about 4 litres of liquid and beans

Once you have emptied the brine...cut bag wide open and drop green beans upside
down out of bag into the brine in the pail or container and cover with lid….Blue
Garlic is a normal occurrence to see with this pack
We trust you will find this change acceptable and almost as easily in handling…certainly making it a bit easier on the environment. Ironically, when Blaze’s Beans were first developed in the spring of 1994, local Vancouver customers of the beans will remember that the beans were hand delivered by Blaze in small sealed poly bags, similar to these bags, selling 1200 bags that first year.
